Homefront Orphan Hugs.....begun November 2, 2005 and still continuing in 2009.
If you would like to help with this mission please contact us at HomefrontHugsUSA@aol.com
with subject " Orphan Hugs".,.This is a super project for children or teens.

Welcome tothe story ofone of our most successfulprograms with our heroes : the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan....
Homefront Orphan Hugs ...how could we say no? It was a super success and we thank everyone
who participated....here are some of the items sent and letters received as well as photos. AS
Special thanks to Master Sgt. Jeff Szczechowski, CPL Serge Batyrshin, and Bagram Public Affairs Office for these poignant wonderful photos of our heroes in action.
At the special request of SSG Fuentes of the 44th Signal Battalion,
Homefront Orphan Hugs has begun to bring smiles to two ofthe
orphanages this hero wrote us about....
Here is what he wrote:
" My name is SSG Rodolfo "Raven" Fuentes and I have been all over the world and never seen this much support throughout my military career. I want to thank all of you for all that you do for the great Soldiers of America. We have a new orphanage project that we are standing up. The Parwan Orphanage (Charikar) and the Kapisa Orphanage(Golbahar) combined hold about 400 children. This was to be my last year in the military and my last deployment, but recently I have renewed my commitment to the United States Army and the Soldiers I work with. I plan on staying in the military until they tell me they pull me from my foxhole... Maybe not to that extreme, but you understand.
I and my Soldiers now ask that you send us nothing, rather that you assist us in taking care of the children of this orphanage. Although I don't expect you all to send me all of the items, anything you can do to help would be great. I recently collected over $650 from my Soldiers to buy many items needed but still have a long way to go.
From all the Soldiers of 44th Signal Battalion throughout Afghanistan and Iraq, we thank you. The children of Charikar and Golbahar also thank you and Homefront Orphan Hugs.
