(To order this vinyl sign to use at airports - or any other vinyl banner for deployments or homecomings ,contact us at info@HomefrontHugs.org )   Homefront Hugs Welcome Home our Heroes at Airports     If you would like to welcome our troops home as a Homefront Hugs volunteer, you can go to any of the USO locations at airports ...or you can go to your local airport and as a Homefront Hugs volunteer  introduce yourself and ask when flights are coming in to welcome our heroes home;asking permission to welcome heroes home...this is a great project for scouts and churches...work with your airport directors if there is no USO there.    Let us know about it- take photos and we will issue you volunteer cards for welcoming the troops home...another super way to support our troops at Homefront Hugs USA.         Don't Forget to Prepare your Homefront Hugs Treats !   All we ask is that you prepare some "Homefront  Hugs"  as a Homefront  Hugs volunteer to hand out when you welcome our heroes home. We even have the stickers to put on your treat bags to keep it classy and consistent when representing Homefront Hugs. Just email us at HomefrontHugsUSA@aol.com to order these.       What is a Homefront Hug?   A Homefront Hug is a small clear plastic bag with:    1 peppermint pattie  a pack of gum  a travel pack of tissue  a nice pen  a tiny pad of paper  1 chapstick  1 small postcard from your area where they are arriving at, thanking them for all they've done and signed by you !  The postcard should say:   " This is your Homefront  Hug from (your name).... Welcome Home and Thank You for Being Our Hero . God bless you and God bless the USA. If you need anything, contact us at Homefront Hugs USA. " (you can add anything else you wish)    Finally, the plastic baggies should be tied with red,white and blue ribbon  and have one of the stickers below on each bag:     You can also make signs to welcome home our heroes  as you hand out these  Homefront Hugs to our heroes coming home or order vinyl signs/banners  through us by emailing us at info@HomefrontHugs.org with subject  "Banners".     Remember to send us photos,short mpegs of your mission welcoming our heroes home with Homefront Hugs. We used to donate to the USO care package fund in honor of my late Grandpa- Dr. Henry Joseph Kellermann. Now Homefront Hugs is doing the same - more personally- and in the name of Grandpa. Only some of my family members were able to escape Hitler. Our family is indebted to the veterans of World War II. The USO was there in 1941 as we are now ...keeping morale high and offering comfort...bringing care packages to the front lines,and helping military families in times of war and peace in many other ways with a personal touch. We remember and salute Bob Hope who has passed to a better place now surely entertaining our veterans in heaven. He was one of the shining stars of the USO tours for the troops...and left so many smiles in our hearts. We remember another one of our personal favorites Glenn Miller- the Big Band legend...who paid the ultimate sacrifice while on his way back during WWII after entertaining the troops.   If you are reading this and in the armed forces- or a veteran, we thank you again for your service to our country.
